Plandište's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C.Novi Bečej the free kick. A collision led to Plandište getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Slobodan Ružić got free with Srba Panić in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Dragoslav Divjak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Plandište's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C.Novi Bečej the free kick. Slobodan Ružić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Srba Panić having to interfere. F.C.Novi Bečej's Vasilije Dinčić got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragoslav Divjak to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Plandište's goal looked a bit too open when Slobodan Ružić came free, but Srba Panić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C.Novi Bečej's goalkeeper Voja Drobnjak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dragoslav Divjak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Voja Drobnjak having to make a save. Vladan Rakočević's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Voja Drobnjak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Srba Panić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasilije Dinčić in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Slobodan Ružić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Srba Panić. Plandište's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Slobodan Ružić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Vasilije Dinčić came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the F.C.Novi Bečej fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasilije Dinčić couldn't finish the play. Dragoslav Divjak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
