If Vojislav Grujičić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dositej Čanković struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Nikola Stokić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Badovinci. 11 minutes into the match, FK Naftasi's goal looked a bit too open when Dositej Čanković came free, but Nikola Stokić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radovan Medić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veljko Bogićević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milenko Uzelac's late challenge caught a Badovinci's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milenko Uzelac helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Vojislav Grujičić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radovan Medić was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Veljko Bogićević in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radovan Medić saved Badovinci from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Badovinci's goal looked a bit too open when Vojislav Grujičić came free, but Radovan Medić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FK Naftasi booed when Badovinci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hristivoje Aleksić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radovan Medić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Veljko Bogićević's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Vojislav Grujičić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Badovinci's Radovan Medić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Radovan Medić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veljko Bogićević, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dositej Čanković to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Vojislav Grujičić could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Radovan Medić however easily saved by the left post. In the 54th minute, Vojislav Grujičić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 55 minutes, Željko Mijić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Badovinci and the FK Naftasi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Badovinci's Željko Mijić got a free kick in the 55th minute. Zlatan Živadinović's late challenge caught a FK Naftasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radovan Medić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veljko Bogićević in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Badovinci's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miloje Budić was slow to take the kick. During this time FK Naftasi's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Badovinci getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veljko Bogićević in the 88th minute of play forced Badovinci's goalkeeper Radovan Medić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vojislav Grujičić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Badovinci's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Veljko Bogićević 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Veljko Bogićević was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FK Naftasi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
