The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radivoje Stevanović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Radoslav Kuvekalović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Lakičević in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nenad Bondžulić saved Niš from getting behind. Old bridge SM's Luka Lazarević got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Old bridge SM's attentive Ljubo Klještan managed to snatch the ball when Nikola Krivokuća made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. After 65 played minutes Radivoje Stevanović rounded Old bridge SM's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Sredoje Lomić hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, Old bridge SM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoslav Prtinac to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Radivoje Stevanović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Niš would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
