Arilje FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ljubinko Atanacković was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dejan Šarović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radojica Božinović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Milija Rašković to make the kick off. During the 51st minute of the match Mladen Kujović completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mladen Kujović a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Ljubinko Atanacković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
