The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Luka Budić successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in BOKA Seniors's zone, Vitomir Bradonjić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luka Budić came out of the goal and Vitomir Bradonjić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bilbao's Milutin Antić got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luka Budić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milutin Antić in the 20th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Dušan Borković was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOKA Seniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bilbao the free kick. Dušan Borković kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Ristivoj Kutlačić fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BOKA Seniors's protests and gave Ristivoj Kutlačić a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bilbao booed when BOKA Seniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ristivoj Kutlačić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ristivoj Kutlačić to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Bilbao got a freekick which was hit by Strahinja Perić. BOKA Seniors were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Bilbao's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radojlo Cvijetić took the corner. After 61 minutes of play, Bilbao's Vitomir Bradonjić made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luka Budić was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute, Ristivoj Kutlačić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vitomir Bradonjić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luka Budić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitomir Bradonjić in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Milutin Antić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bilbao's supporters rose to their feet, but Milutin Antić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luka Budić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
