The referee ignored Novi Bečej's protests and gave Ristivoje Ćetrović a yellow card for diving instead. Ristivoje Ćetrović hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Slobodan Simonović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miloš Glamočanin in the 5th minute of the match. FK Tamnava Penzosi's Miljan Mitić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žarko Dačić in the 6th minute of play. Slobodan Simonović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miloš Glamočanin in the 8th minute of the match. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Tamnava Penzosi's goalkeeper Miljan Mitić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Strahinja Gligić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Novi Bečej getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ristivoje Ćetrović hit a great ball. Arsenije Rajić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FK Tamnava Penzosi's Miljan Mitić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žarko Dačić in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Novi Bečej was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevan Lišanin to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Novi Bečej's goal looked a bit too open when Miloš Glamočanin came free, but Slobodan Simonović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miloš Glamočanin was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Novi Bečej's Slobodan Simonović got control of the ball when Rodoljub Kuzmanović tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Arsenije Rajić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novi Bečej's Arsenije Rajić got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miloš Glamočanin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Novi Bečej's zone, Rodoljub Kuzmanović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Slobodan Simonović came out of the goal and Rodoljub Kuzmanović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miljan Mitić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Žarko Dačić, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blaža Đalov during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Novi Bečej booed when FK Tamnava Penzosi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blaža Đalov didn't get a good kick on the ball.
