Dragoljub Čojić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velizar Drakulić, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Svetozar Ljubanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoljub Čojić having to interfere. Slavenko Beljović struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Dragoljub Čojić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lubnica. The Lubnica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Dragoljub Čojić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svetozar Ljubanović in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Živomir Vještica to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lubnica's Uglješa Milosković got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Živomir Vještica in the 55th minute of play forced Lubnica's goalkeeper Mojsilo Đoković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Svetozar Ljubanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoljub Čojić having to interfere. Lubnica's Slavenko Beljović suffered a concussion after 59 minutes and had to leave the field. 59 minutes into the game, Zoran Stević was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lubnica the free kick. In the 60th minute, Zoran Stević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Stevan Danojević in the 64th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Mojsilo Đoković's left hand side. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirot's goalkeeper Dragoljub Čojić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Pirot's goal looked a bit too open when Svetozar Ljubanović came free, but Dragoljub Čojić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes Pirot got a freekick which was hit by Stevan Danojević. 82 minutes into the game, Svetozar Ljubanović recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dragoljub Čojić. Svetozar Ljubanović showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Svetozar Ljubanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoljub Čojić having to interfere. Svetozar Ljubanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lubnica's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
