The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 12thth minute of the game Ðorđe Sedlarević who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DORCOL UNITED's Radislav Jovićević was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Sirig defense, Danilo Babović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vidosav Vučić. The Sirig fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vidosav Vučić should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Sirig booed when DORCOL UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksandar Nišić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Jadranko Sedlarević got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ðorđe Sedlarević in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radislav Jovićević saved DORCOL UNITED from getting behind. Radislav Jovićević stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ðorđe Sedlarević's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 26 minutes, Ðorđe Sedlarević made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. DORCOL UNITED's Radislav Jovićević tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dragan Smiljanić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ðorđe Sedlarević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Radislav Jovićević tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jadranko Sedlarević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ðorđe Sedlarević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radislav Jovićević having to interfere. Cvijan Kolarević recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ðorđe Sedlarević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Radislav Jovićević tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, DORCOL UNITED's Dragan Smiljanić got a free kick in the 49th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dragan Smiljanić made the kick off in the second half. If Ðorđe Sedlarević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The referee ignored DORCOL UNITED's protests and gave Dragoslav Ivić a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sirig booed when DORCOL UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoslav Ivić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute of the match Voja Glogovac sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Radislav Jovićević skillfully saved the ball. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radislav Jovićević, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. DORCOL UNITED's Radislav Jovićević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ðorđe Sedlarević in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over Sirig could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DORCOL UNITED throughout the match.
