Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Todor Jačić got the match started through his kick off. Miroslav Marković was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Todor Jačić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivica Peličić having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Podbara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Živojin Stoisavljević to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Varovnice's Miroslav Marković in action when he in the 15th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Ivica Peličić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Budislav Divljaković in the 24th minute of the match. Podbara's Stanko Zrnić shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Milorad Petrović but with some difficulty. Stojadin Simić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Milorad Petrović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stojadin Simić made a kick off. After some careless play in the Varovnice defense, Ljubo Vukojev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milorad Petrović. The Varovnice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milorad Petrović should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute Ljubo Vukojev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milorad Petrović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Veseljko Đurkić's late challenge caught a Podbara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veseljko Đurkić helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute Stojadin Simić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milorad Petrović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Podbara booed when Varovnice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zvonko Tatalović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ljubo Vukojev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milorad Petrović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. If Todor Jačić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Todor Jačić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivica Peličić having to interfere. Ivica Peličić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Budislav Divljaković in the 71st minute. Varovnice's Milorad Petrović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ljubo Vukojev in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stojadin Simić in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milorad Petrović saved Varovnice from getting behind. Puniša Vidanović hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Stojadin Simić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Podbara's supporters rose to their feet, but Stojadin Simić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milorad Petrović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Podbara! Budislav Divljaković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivica Peličić having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Todor Jačić took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ivica Peličić to make any attempt to save it. Varovnice's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
