After a defensive mix-up in OFK BEOGRAD's zone, Vukota Vukčević stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Predrag Čvrkić came out of the goal and Vukota Vukčević tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Pannonia's Aleksandar Stojanović slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Predrag Čvrkić. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Bogdan Trailović hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Rodoljub Rosandić fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OFK BEOGRAD's protests and gave Rodoljub Rosandić a yellow card for diving instead. 23 minutes into the match, OFK BEOGRAD's goal looked a bit too open when Trivun Mirotić came free, but Predrag Čvrkić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trivun Mirotić in the 28th minute of play forced OFK BEOGRAD's goalkeeper Predrag Čvrkić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aleksandar Stojanović had several of the OFK BEOGRAD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Predrag Čvrkić as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Pannonia booed when OFK BEOGRAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mladomir Žarković didn't get a good kick on the ball. Predrag Čvrkić made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Trivun Mirotić sent off a good shot on target. Mirsad Grkinić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Predrag Čvrkić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aleksandar Stojanović made a kick off. The supporters of OFK BEOGRAD booed when Pannonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trivun Mirotić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mirsad Grkinić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Predrag Čvrkić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aleksandar Stojanović's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. OFK BEOGRAD's Predrag Čvrkić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trivun Mirotić in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Milivoj Krivošija during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Milivoj Krivošija hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mirsad Grkinić in the 75th minute of play forced OFK BEOGRAD's goalkeeper Predrag Čvrkić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Aleksandar Stojanović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Predrag Čvrkić. OFK BEOGRAD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aleksandar Stojanović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Mirsad Grkinić scored 4-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Predrag Čvrkić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute 邱亦松 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Predrag Čvrkić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrija Samardžić kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pannonia's Andrija Samardžić got a free kick in the 95th minute. Konstantin Trivunović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pannonia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
