Bačko Gradište's Milovan Šorgić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Bačko Gradište from getting a goal against them. 5 minutes into the match, Sima Vidosavljević had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Milovan Šorgić. Bačko Gradište's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sima Vidosavljević was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Radoslav Buzdovan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radoman Brajušković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sima Vidosavljević in the 11th minute of play forced Bačko Gradište's goalkeeper Milovan Šorgić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes in the game, Mladen Gorjanac fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Milovan Šorgić having to interfere. In the 15th minute Mirko Dujaković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radoslav Buzdovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Celsius's Milovan Šorgić threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mladen Gorjanac, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Sima Vidosavljević kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Milovan Šorgić. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. A collision led to Bačko Gradište getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Mirko Dujaković hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Vučko Perić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celsius fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Radoslav Buzdovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mirko Dujaković in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mladen Gorjanac in the 30th minute of play forced Bačko Gradište's goalkeeper Milovan Šorgić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Vasilj Šašić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milenko Brčić charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milenko Brčić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Celsius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milenko Brčić to maneuver through the defense. Celsius's Radoslav Buzdovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mirko Dujaković in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Celsius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodoljub Ćuk to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Celsius defense, Mirko Dujaković kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radoslav Buzdovan. The Celsius fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radoslav Buzdovan should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

After a rather tough play, Celsius's Vasilj Šašić got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Celsius's Radoslav Buzdovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoman Brajušković in the 57th minute of play. Mirko Dujaković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 65 minutes, Radoman Brajušković managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bačko Gradište's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radoman Brajušković was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Sima Vidosavljević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Celsius's goal looked a bit too open when Želimir Šišić came free, but Radoslav Buzdovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mladen Gorjanac in the 74th minute of play forced Bačko Gradište's goalkeeper Milovan Šorgić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Celsius's Vučko Perić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milovan Šorgić made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. With a little luck, Celsius's Radoslav Buzdovan got control of the ball when Mirko Dujaković tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celsius's Milenko Brčić got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Milenko Brčić off the ground. In the 80th match minute, Celsius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milenko Brčić to maneuver through the defense. Bačko Gradište's Želimir Šišić quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rodoljub Ćuk, made in the 82nd minute of the game. Želimir Šišić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Radoslav Buzdovan was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Mirko Dujaković capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mirko Dujaković really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Radoslav Buzdovan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mirko Dujaković in the 88th minute. Ljupče Vukov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mladen Gorjanac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Mirko Dujaković reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Radoslav Buzdovan. The goal made the score 4-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Celsius had won after a very even match.
