In the 34th minute, Vojislav Vukojević got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Branko Antić fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Šabac FK's protests and gave Branko Antić a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Šabac FK's Branko Antić got a free kick in the 36th minute. Gnjilan were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Šabac FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nebojša Kažić took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Nebojša Kažić got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivica Mijović quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 54th minute of the match, Sreten Ninković tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zlatomir Dobrašinović saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 75th minute Radovan Uzelac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zlatomir Dobrašinović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Agatonović came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zlatomir Dobrašinović could save by the left post. In the 85th minute, Danilo Agatonović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ratko Bogućanin during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ratko Bogućanin got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Šabac FK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
