An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Rustikov in the 10th minute of play forced FK Partizan Beograd's goalkeeper Ljubinko Komatina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes, Todor Gudelj mouthed his way into the referee's book. FK Partizan Beograd's Ljubinko Komatina tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Ljubinko Komatina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rony Rustikov took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ljubinko Komatina. Ljubinko Komatina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. FK Partizan Beograd's Ljubinko Komatina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Rustikov in the 75th minute of play. If Pascual Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes of play, Partizan's Edmondo Farina made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ljubinko Komatina was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Partizan booed when FK Partizan Beograd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitar Momić didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pascual Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uglješa Bidžić kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After 97 played minutes Partizan got a freekick which was hit by Wincenty Kondysar. The FK Partizan Beograd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Partizan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
