Ljubinko Komatina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gojko Markus in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, FK Partizan Beograd's goalkeeper Ljubinko Komatina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ljubinko Kruščić. When Tanasko Jelić fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Železničar Pančevo's protests and gave Tanasko Jelić a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FK Partizan Beograd booed when Železničar Pančevo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanasko Jelić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Uglješa Trailović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savo Marković saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, FK Partizan Beograd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gojko Markus fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 21 minutes into the game, Železničar Pančevo's Ljubinko Kruščić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ljubinko Komatina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Tanasko Jelić received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ljubinko Komatina came out and tried to block the shot, but Tanasko Jelić slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. Trifun Mladenović hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Železničar Pančevo's Tanasko Jelić broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 32 minutes into the match, FK Partizan Beograd's Višeslav Putinčanin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Savo Marković narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Trifun Mladenović put in a rough tackle. Trifun Mladenović kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 36 minutes of play, Železničar Pančevo's Tanasko Jelić made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ljubinko Komatina was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute, Ljubinko Kruščić fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ljubinko Komatina, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, FK Partizan Beograd's Ljubinko Komatina got control of the ball when Stanoje Čolaković tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Železničar Pančevo's Ljubinko Komatina threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tanasko Jelić, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ljubinko Kruščić scored 4-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ljubinko Komatina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Tanasko Jelić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ljubinko Komatina having to interfere. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Partizan Beograd's goalkeeper Ljubinko Komatina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tanasko Jelić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Železničar Pančevo's supporters rose to their feet, but Tanasko Jelić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ljubinko Komatina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ljubinko Kruščić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ljubinko Komatina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Ljubinko Komatina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ljubinko Kruščić, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute, Ljubinko Kruščić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ljubinko Komatina was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Železničar Pančevo's Ljubinko Kruščić got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ljubinko Komatina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gojko Markus in the 72nd minute of the match. Ljubinko Kruščić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 76 minutes, Uglješa Trailović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Partizan Beograd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uglješa Trailović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ljubinko Komatina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanoje Čolaković in the 81st minute of play. Ljubinko Komatina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanasko Jelić, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Tanasko Jelić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Tanasko Jelić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Železničar Pančevo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. A collision led to Železničar Pančevo getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gojko Markus hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Železničar Pančevo were the better team. Železničar Pančevo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
