Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stavro Janković made the kick off which started today's match. Tomislav Pečurica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sveto Mrvaljević, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jugoslav Đalović in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ratko Savković saved FTC Ferencváros from getting behind. Ratko Savković showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragić Grković in the 10th minute of the match. Ratko Savković didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jugoslav Đalović went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Dragić Grković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, FTC Ferencváros's goalkeeper Ratko Savković had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jugoslav Đalović. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sveto Mrvaljević in the 35th minute of play forced Sawtry FC's goalkeeper Tomislav Pečurica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FTC Ferencváros booed when Sawtry FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sava Grković didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Milun Mujević came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FTC Ferencváros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milun Mujević couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Sawtry FC's Ratko Savković threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stavro Janković, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 42nd match minute, FTC Ferencváros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevica Radanović to maneuver through the defense. Ratko Savković took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragić Grković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sveto Mrvaljević stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sveto Mrvaljević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FTC Ferencváros getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Puniša Nesterović hit a great ball. When Stavro Janković came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Sawtry FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stavro Janković couldn't finish the play. Jošo Pelivanović hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Sawtry FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dragić Grković in the 61st minute. The corner led to Sawtry FC's Jovica Pejović getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Stavro Janković scored 3-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ratko Savković, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Milun Mujević could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Tomislav Pečurica made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sveto Mrvaljević managed to get in a good position for a shot. FTC Ferencváros's supporters rose to their feet, but Sveto Mrvaljević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ratko Savković was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sveto Mrvaljevićs short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Tomislav Pečurica to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tomislav Pečurica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sveto Mrvaljević in the 89th minute of the match. With a little luck, Sawtry FC's Tomislav Pečurica got control of the ball when Milun Mujević tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Sawtry FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
