Borivoje Krstić yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Borivoje Krstić was a little too slow when Josip Đukić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. If Simeon Mišković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simeon Mišković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sergej Mijailović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Rašo Čolović was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hull FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burgess Hill AFC the free kick. With a little luck, Hull FC's Borivoje Krstić got control of the ball when Vujadin Trišanović tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Zvonko Borilović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 30 minutes, Vujadin Trišanović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burgess Hill AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vujadin Trišanović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Burgess Hill AFC fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Burgess Hill AFC's Josip Đukić looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Josip Đukić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vujadin Trišanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vujadin Trišanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borivoje Krstić having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Josip Đukić made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Burgess Hill AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Nermin Lasić hit a great ball. With a little luck, Burgess Hill AFC's Sergej Mijailović got control of the ball when Simeon Mišković tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Vujadin Trišanović came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Burgess Hill AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vujadin Trišanović couldn't finish the play. Vladislav Terzić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Sergej Mijailović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burgess Hill AFC's Sergej Mijailović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladislav Terzić in the 64th minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Vujadin Trišanović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hull FC's Borivoje Krstić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71 minutes, Josip Đukić made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hull FC's Borivoje Krstić tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Vujadin Trišanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Vujadin Trišanović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 96th minute Vujadin Trišanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borivoje Krstić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Burgess Hill AFC fully deserved thier win.
