In the 9thth minute of the game Milinko Krstičić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dursley's Gvozden Cvijetić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dursley's Gvozden Cvijetić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milinko Krstičić in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Ashton Under's goalkeeper Gajo Radak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mato Komatina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obrad Stanković in the 20th minute of play forced Ashton Under's goalkeeper Gajo Radak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mato Komatina got free with Gajo Radak in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 29 played minutes, Dursley's Cvijo Paljić shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gajo Radak came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dursley reached it. The supporters of Dursley booed when Ashton Under was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danko Marinović didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, one of Ashton Under:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Roman Bećirović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute Milinko Krstičić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gvozden Cvijetić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashton Under's goalkeeper Gajo Radak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roman Bećirović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Mato Komatina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gajo Radak was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Ashton Under's Roman Bećirović got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Bećirović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gvozden Cvijetić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Dursley getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Obrad Stanković hit a great ball. Gvozden Cvijetić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Bećirović, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Ashton Under got a corner. Dursley's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomo Drašković ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ashton Under's Tomo Drašković to fire away a dangerous shot which Gvozden Cvijetić despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Dursley's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Bećirović came free, but Gvozden Cvijetić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Obrad Stanković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. Roman Bećirović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
