The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Croston United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Elsad Latković scored to the left of an out of position Radmilo Milinić, making the score, 1-0. Radmilo Milinić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panto Đurović in the 8th minute. Selmir Ljuljđuraj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Novak Magazin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Elsad Latković hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Croston United's Radmilo Milinić got control of the ball when Panto Đurović tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Croston United's goal looked a bit too open when Budisav Gojnić came free, but Radmilo Milinić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Croston United's goalkeeper Radmilo Milinić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panto Đurović. Skegness's Vladeta Delibašić got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Croston United's Radmilo Milinić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Croston United from getting a goal against them. When Panto Đurović came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Skegness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panto Đurović couldn't finish the play. If Panto Đurović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peđa Krajinović's late challenge caught a Skegness's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peđa Krajinović helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Peđa Krajinović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Elsad Latković could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Radmilo Milinić however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Croston United getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Miroslav Lovrić hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes Darko Lukić scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Radmilo Milinić who was too lazy, 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, Skegness's goal looked a bit too open when Dobrosav Trešnjić came free, but Selmir Ljuljđuraj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Novak Magazin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Selmir Ljuljđuraj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radmilo Milinić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elsad Latković in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Novak Magazin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selmir Ljuljđuraj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Panto Đurović struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Radmilo Milinić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skegness. In the 53rd minute, Vladeta Delibašić made a precise shot to the right of Radmilo Milinić. Croston United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Radmilo Milinić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Budisav Gojnić, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes Croston United got a freekick which was hit by Tozo Tufegdžić. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panto Đurović in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radmilo Milinić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Radmilo Milinić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panto Đurović in the 64th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Croston United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Skegness:s goal. Radmilo Milinić came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Skegness's Budisav Gojnić. But to his dismay, Budisav Gojnić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Panto Đurović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Skegness's Panto Đurović in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Croston United's goalie prevented a goal. 82 minutes into the game, Budisav Gojnić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Radmilo Milinić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th match minute, Croston United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tozo Tufegdžić to maneuver through the defense. When Budisav Gojnić came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Skegness fans jumped to their feet. Skegness walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
