Owen Watts charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Owen Watts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Owen Watts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Vitomir Odavić sped through Huyton United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristopher Beasley. Kristopher Beasley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitomir Odavić in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitomir Odavić in the 36th minute of play forced Huyton United's goalkeeper Kristopher Beasley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Spasoje Radosavović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Russell Deveraux to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play Huyton United's Piers Tinker was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Middridge Village's Matija Andrijašević was substituted for Gradimir Vlahović. A collision led to Huyton United getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Piers Tinker hit a great ball. Huyton United's Kristopher Beasley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spasoje Radosavović in the 55th minute of play. Kristopher Beasley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spasoje Radosavović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Spasoje Radosavović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristopher Beasley was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Kristopher Beasley didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Middridge Village's Vitomir Odavić shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Vukoje Jelenić kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. If Russell Deveraux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Middridge Village's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
