But to his dismay, Elvis Đinđinović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kosta Tanasijević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Đinđinović in the 12th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Elvis Đinđinović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kosta Tanasijević was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Sowerby Bridge AFC's Janko Trailović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavro Tiodorović in the 21st minute of play. When Sanel Roganović came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Sowerby Bridge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sanel Roganović couldn't finish the play. Hakija Perišić kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Sowerby Bridge AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Petko Popara hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Elvis Đinđinović came free, but Kosta Tanasijević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvis Đinđinović in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kosta Tanasijević prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 minutes, Perko Vojvodić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newcastle United and the Sowerby Bridge AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United's Perko Vojvodić got a free kick in the 36th minute. Kosta Tanasijević stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elvis Đinđinović's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Elvis Đinđinović came free, but Kosta Tanasijević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Sowerby Bridge AFC's protests and gave Elvis Đinđinović a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvis Đinđinović in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kosta Tanasijević prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kosta Tanasijević stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elvis Đinđinović's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvis Đinđinović made a kick off. Kosta Tanasijević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvis Đinđinović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kosta Tanasijević was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sanel Roganović. Strahinja Ćetković could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Kosta Tanasijević made a huge save. In the 57th minute, Perko Vojvodić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kosta Tanasijević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Đinđinović in the 65th minute of play. Elvis Đinđinović in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kosta Tanasijević, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kosta Tanasijević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvis Đinđinović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvis Đinđinovićs short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Kosta Tanasijević to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 76th minute, Perko Vojvodić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Elvis Đinđinović fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kosta Tanasijević, passed just outside the right post. Elvis Đinđinović got in the 81st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kosta Tanasijević handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Petko Popara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Janko Trailović didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arsenije Zavišić went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Newcastle United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sowerby Bridge AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
