Vukmir Maslić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Muhamed Borilović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Tozo Punišić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhamed Borilović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Harvard University's goal looked a bit too open when Tozo Punišić came free, but Muhamed Borilović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Minja Ašanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radoman Cvjetinović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mesud Milićević in the 20th minute of the match. Mesud Milićević's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radoman Cvjetinović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje's Boro Jovanović got a free kick in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tozo Punišić in the 32nd minute of play forced Harvard University's goalkeeper Muhamed Borilović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Harvard University booed when FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boro Jovanović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radoman Cvjetinović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mesud Milićević in the 38th minute of play. When Vukmir Maslić came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vukmir Maslić couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tozo Punišić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhamed Borilović having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Harvard University's Perko Vučinić got a free kick in the 55th minute. Vukmir Maslić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Muhamed Borilović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vukmir Maslić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje's Radoman Cvjetinović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje from getting a goal against them. If Vukmir Maslić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Momo Jeremić in the 69th minute of play forced Harvard University's goalkeeper Muhamed Borilović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mesud Lazetić fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harvard University's protests and gave Mesud Lazetić a yellow card for diving instead. Mesud Lazetić kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Harvard University's supporters rose to their feet, but Minja Ašanin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radoman Cvjetinović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mesud Milićević recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 86 minutes, Vanja Medić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harvard University and the FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Harvard University getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Vanja Medić hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boro Jovanović during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Boro Jovanović kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Although FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje had been in control for most of the match, Harvard University still came away with the win.
