The referee ignored Katalonija FK's protests and gave Petar Rašović a yellow card for diving instead. Wembley FC's Nedjeljko Pečurica was substituted for Cvijo Jeknić. After a rather tough play, Katalonija FK's Petar Rašović got a free kick in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marko Paljić to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Bašić in the 69th minute of play forced Katalonija FK's goalkeeper Zygmunt Kolacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Srećko Golijanin's late challenge caught a Wembley FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Srećko Golijanin helped the player get up and apologised. Srećko Golijanin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Marko Paljić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Zygmunt Kolacki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Katalonija FK's Milivoj Lalatović slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stevan Štavljanin. That made the score 1-3 after 76 minutes of play. 83 minutes into the game, Wembley FC's Luka Bašić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zygmunt Kolacki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 93 minutes into the match, Wembley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Srećko Golijanin came free, but Stevan Štavljanin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Čedomir Krković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luka Bašić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Katalonija FK played a much better game than Wembley FC and deserved their victory. The Wembley FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
