Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Taliesin Bullock got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, UWA Newtown's goalkeeper Brice Little had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cadfael Canada. UWA Newtown's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Baddon Glazier scored to the left of an out of position Brice Little, making the score, 1-0. In the 11th minute, Moesen Brothers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Cadfael Canada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bridgend FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Baddon Glazier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brice Little came out and tried to block the shot, but Baddon Glazier slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 23rd minute. Price Armstrong kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Cadfael Canada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Brice Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gerwin Barnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Newtown's zone, Baddon Glazier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brice Little came out of the goal and Baddon Glazier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baddon Glazier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, UWA Newtown's goal looked a bit too open when Baddon Glazier came free, but Brice Little reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cadfael Canada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brice Little having to interfere. A collision led to UWA Newtown getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alun Huckster hit a great ball. Gerwin Barnes struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Cairn Hassett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Newtown. 68 minutes into the match, UWA Newtown's goal looked a bit too open when Baddon Glazier came free, but Brice Little reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Bridgend FC got a freekick which was hit by Anwar Gates. Brice Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baddon Glazier in the 73rd minute of play. Baddon Glazier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Brice Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerwin Barnes got free with Cairn Hassett in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baddon Glazier in the 88th minute of play forced UWA Newtown's goalkeeper Brice Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baddon Glazier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, UWA Newtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anynnawg Hailey to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taliesin Bullock in the 93rd minute of play forced Bridgend FC's goalkeeper Cairn Hassett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the UWA Newtown players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bridgend FC.
