To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Edern Bragg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gwyr Hernon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Wrexham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edern Bragg came free, but Gwyr Hernon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Kynwal Baccus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwyr Hernon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edern Bragg went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Edern Bragg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwyr Hernon having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Llwybyr Hamm managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Port Talbot's supporters rose to their feet, but Llwybyr Hamm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwyr Hernon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edern Bragg made a kick off. Gwyr Hernon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edern Bragg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heilyn Armitage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Llwyr Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Kynwal Baccus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wrexham FC and the UWA Port Talbot players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Wrexham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kynwal Baccus to maneuver through the defense. Llwybyr Hamm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gwyr Hernon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaddon Conant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Vaddon Conant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wrexham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaddon Conant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Jones Wharfinger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UWA Port Talbot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wrexham FC the free kick. Gwyr Hernon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edern Bragg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Wrexham FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching UWA Port Talbot's performance. The match ended with a win for UWA Port Talbot.
