The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iowerth Chambers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Bridgend FC's Cadell Denton got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Iowerth Chambers sped through Cardigan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Garwyli Felt. After 12 played minutes Cardigan got a freekick which was hit by Anwar Lavery. Galahad Banff's late challenge caught a Cardigan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Galahad Banff helped the player get up and apologised. Galahad Banff kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Anwar Lavery kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Iowerth Chambers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bridgend FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iowerth Chambers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iowerth Chambers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Cardigan got a freekick which was hit by Anwar Lavery. In the 29th minute, Braen Futter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmyg Gore, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Bridgend FC's Galahad Banff got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Rhun Loughnane hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Iowerth Chambers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garwyli Felt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garwyli Felt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cynan Cleary in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Bridgend FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iowerth Chambers to make the kick off. Cardigan's Garwyli Felt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Cardigan from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the match, Cardigan's Peissawg Lovat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gruddyeu Henson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Clyde Correll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peissawg Lovat in the 62nd minute of play forced Bridgend FC's goalkeeper Gruddyeu Henson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Galahad Banff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Clyde Correll managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardigan's supporters rose to their feet, but Clyde Correll was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gruddyeu Henson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gruddyeu Henson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peissawg Lovat in the 76th minute of play. 0-3 became the score in the 78th minute when Iowerth Chambers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gruddyeu Henson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peissawg Lovat in the 82nd minute of the match. Gruddyeu Henson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bridgend FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
