Spectators: 7651 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Peissawg Lovat started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clyde Correll in the 4th minute of play forced UWA Denbigh's goalkeeper Gerallt Lovelady to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute Gareth Muleskinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garwyli Felt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Siencyn Finch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aeddan Cullen charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aeddan Cullen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clyde Correll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Peissawg Lovat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerallt Lovelady was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Garwyli Felt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gareth Muleskinner in the 22nd minute of play. Garwyli Felt was a little too slow when Gareth Muleskinner got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-1. After having played for 29 minutes, Siencyn Finch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Denbigh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siencyn Finch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bradwr Cantwell in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garwyli Felt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Siencyn Finch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garwyli Felt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gareth Muleskinner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anwar Lavery kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Clyde Correll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gerallt Lovelady tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Denbigh's goalkeeper Gerallt Lovelady, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerallt Lovelady came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cardigan's Peissawg Lovat. But to his dismay, Peissawg Lovat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 46 minutes into the match, Cardigan's goalkeeper Garwyli Felt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siencyn Finch. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gareth Muleskinner to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute UWA Denbigh were awarded a corner. Aeddan Cullen went to the cornerflag to take it. Siencyn Finch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Garwyli Felt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peissawg Lovat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Peissawg Lovat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardigan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peissawg Lovat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cardigan's Garwyli Felt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gareth Muleskinner in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, UWA Denbigh's goal looked a bit too open when Peissawg Lovat came free, but Gerallt Lovelady reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Siencyn Finch managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Denbigh's supporters rose to their feet, but Siencyn Finch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garwyli Felt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garwyli Felt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gareth Muleskinner, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The attack was good, but when Clyde Correll in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Clyde Correll came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Cardigan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clyde Correll couldn't finish the play. Garwyli Felt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Muleskinner in the 94th minute of the match. The UWA Denbigh supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cardigan's performance. The match ended with a win for Cardigan.
