Rhyl's Trevelyan Hanley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cadell Denton in the 6th minute of play. When Bridgend FC's Iowerth Chambers in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rhyl's goalie prevented a goal. Rheged Wainwright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gruddyeu Henson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braen Keaty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Braen Keaty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gruddyeu Henson. Bridgend FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braen Keaty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Iowerth Chambers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bridgend FC's zone, Braen Keaty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gruddyeu Henson came out of the goal and Braen Keaty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Bridgend FC's Gruddyeu Henson got control of the ball when Braen Keaty tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bridgend FC's Cynan Cleary got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Bridgend FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rheged Wainwright came free, but Gruddyeu Henson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iowerth Chambers was the one to do the kick off. Bridgend FC's Cairn Scrutiner shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Trevelyan Hanley but with some difficulty. Gruddyeu Henson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rheged Wainwright in the 62nd minute of play. If Braen Keaty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cadell Denton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iowerth Chambers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Rhyl's Trevelyan Hanley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Rhyl from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Galahad Banff during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
