In the 2nd match minute, Porthcawl FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huw Bligh to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Porthcawl FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ceithin Knox hit a great ball. Iau Coe struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Gowerr Kern didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soylent Greens. Gowerr Kern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Druce Finn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Porthcawl FC's zone, Iau Coe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gowerr Kern came out of the goal and Iau Coe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Porthcawl FC defense, Druce Finn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gowerr Kern. The Porthcawl FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gowerr Kern should have stopped the shot. Druce Finn scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gowerr Kern, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porthcawl FC's goalkeeper Gowerr Kern, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Huw Bligh took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Rhodri Correll to make any attempt to save it. Soylent Greens's Druce Finn got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gowerr Kern came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Soylent Greens's Brys Joynes. But to his dismay, Brys Joynes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ove Forsell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Huw Bligh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rhodri Correll. That made the score 2-3 in the 43 minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Huw Bligh made the kick off in the second half. Porthcawl FC's Gowerr Kern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iau Coe in the 55th minute of play. If Druce Finn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Soylent Greens's Druce Finn dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. With his leg Gowerr Kern managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Soylent Greens's Druce Finn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Soylent Greens's Druce Finn was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Soylent Greens's Rhodri Correll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huw Bligh in the 73rd minute of play. Elphin Charlton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Brys Joynes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lavaine Bergin struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rhodri Correll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porthcawl FC. Ove Forsell hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Soylent Greens's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
