Mael Guthrie made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Braen Keaty sent off a good shot on target. Rheged Wainwright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Mael Guthrie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Llandysul getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Siarl Clifton hit a great ball. Trevelyan Hanley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maelgwn Fairbrother in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rhyl's Anwas Currier got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Lloyd Criddle fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rhyl's protests and gave Lloyd Criddle a yellow card for diving instead. Braen Keaty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mael Guthrie having to interfere. Rheged Wainwright struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Mael Guthrie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rhyl. After a rather tough play, Llandysul's Kane Ingoldsby got a free kick in the 40th minute. Llandysul's Mael Guthrie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Llandysul from getting a goal against them. When Irvin Clerk fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rhyl's protests and gave Irvin Clerk a yellow card for diving instead. 44 minutes into the game, one of Rhyl:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Maelgwn Fairbrother got free with Trevelyan Hanley in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute of the match Pyrs Fielding sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trevelyan Hanley skillfully saved the ball. Maelgwn Fairbrother struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Trevelyan Hanley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Llandysul. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Llandysul's goalkeeper Mael Guthrie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mael Guthrie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rheged Wainwright in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Rhyl's goal looked a bit too open when Prydwen Gardner came free, but Trevelyan Hanley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trevelyan Hanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prydwen Gardner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mael Guthrie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braen Keaty's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Llandysul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
