Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rheged Wainwright started the match with the kick off. When Porthcawl FC's Huw Bligh in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rhyl's goalie prevented a goal. Bradwen Farley took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gowerr Kern. Gowerr Kern dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 8th minute, Huw Bligh reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Trevelyan Hanley. The goal made the score 1-1. After having played for 13 minutes, Lavaine Bergin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porthcawl FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lavaine Bergin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Huw Bligh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gowerr Kern showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rheged Wainwright in the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Rhyl's Trevelyan Hanley got control of the ball when Lavaine Bergin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trevelyan Hanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huw Bligh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braen Keaty in the 30th minute of play forced Porthcawl FC's goalkeeper Gowerr Kern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When Huw Bligh came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Porthcawl FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Huw Bligh couldn't finish the play. Trevelyan Hanley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Huw Bligh went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Lavaine Bergin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huw Bligh in the 64th minute of play forced Rhyl's goalkeeper Trevelyan Hanley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gowerr Kern stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rheged Wainwright's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Braen Keaty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gowerr Kern having to interfere. Rhyl's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Porthcawl FC had won, even though Rhyl had held more of the ball.
