Spectators: 7674 (Terracing: 5756, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) The audience thought a goal was coming when Siencyn Finch got free with Gowerr Kern in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gareth Muleskinner came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the UWA Denbigh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gareth Muleskinner couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Pedr Bender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Gareth Muleskinner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gareth Muleskinner in the 16th minute of play forced Porthcawl FC's goalkeeper Gowerr Kern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Lavaine Bergin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerallt Lovelady saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lavaine Bergin might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerallt Lovelady. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lavaine Bergin ran back to his position shaking his head. Huw Bligh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerallt Lovelady having to make a save. Lavaine Bergin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gerallt Lovelady tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Gareth Muleskinner kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gowerr Kern. That made the score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. Huw Bligh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerallt Lovelady having to interfere. If Siencyn Finch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Huw Bligh made the kick off in the second half. Porthcawl FC's Gowerr Kern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siencyn Finch in the 52nd minute of play. Gowerr Kern showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Muleskinner in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute Gareth Muleskinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gowerr Kern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UWA Denbigh's Gerallt Lovelady proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Denbigh from getting a goal against them. Porthcawl FC's Gowerr Kern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gareth Muleskinner in the 73rd minute of play. Siencyn Finch struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gowerr Kern didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Denbigh. Siencyn Finch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute Gareth Muleskinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gowerr Kern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Porthcawl FC's Ceithin Knox seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ceithin Knox the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Porthcawl FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ceithin Knox had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Porthcawl FC! Lavaine Bergin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, UWA Denbigh's goalkeeper Gerallt Lovelady had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lavaine Bergin. UWA Denbigh's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
