After a defensive mix-up in UWA Aberystwyth's zone, Jones Baccus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amerawdwr Flannery came out of the goal and Jones Baccus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Swansea booed when UWA Aberystwyth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celyn Chadwick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jones Baccus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Amerawdwr Flannery skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Amerawdwr Flannery was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Drew Hawley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Drew Hawley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 12th minute, Drew Hawley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Swansea's Amerawdwr Flannery threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anwas Cotterell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Gawain Doody had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Amerawdwr Flannery managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Swansea's Jones Baccus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Swansea's goalkeeper Maelgwn Henderson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Drew Hawley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Amerawdwr Flannery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kynwyl Browne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Jones Baccus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swansea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jones Baccus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Drew Hawley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jones Baccus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Amerawdwr Flannery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taffy Vandeweghe kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. If Drew Hawley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gawain Doody to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, UWA Aberystwyth's goal looked a bit too open when Drew Hawley came free, but Amerawdwr Flannery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amerawdwr Flannery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drew Hawley, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, UWA Aberystwyth's Celyn Chadwick got a free kick in the 59th minute. Gawain Doody sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anwas Cotterell hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Maelgwn Henderson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gawain Doody, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jones Baccus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amerawdwr Flannery read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Drew Hawley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amerawdwr Flannery having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, UWA Aberystwyth's Kynwyl Browne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maelgwn Henderson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jones Baccus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kynwyl Browne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maelgwn Henderson having to interfere. Amerawdwr Flannery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jones Baccus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kynwyl Browne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Maelgwn Henderson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 97 minutes into the match, UWA Aberystwyth's goal looked a bit too open when Jones Baccus came free, but Amerawdwr Flannery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
