Gwallter Puddler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After having played for 12 minutes, Ofydd Doney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llangollen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ofydd Doney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ofydd Doney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwallter Puddler having to interfere. A collision led to Llangollen getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Gwawl Crowley hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Powell Carrey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Deiniol Garrity skillfully saved the ball. In the 20th minute Nynnyaw Hanauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deiniol Garrity saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dillan Keegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deiniol Garrity took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renfrew Canning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deiniol Garrity made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nynnyaw Hanauer in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Llangollen's goal looked a bit too open when Nynnyaw Hanauer came free, but Deiniol Garrity reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ofydd Doney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Gwallter Puddler made a huge save. If Dillan Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, Montgomery Utd's goalkeeper Gwallter Puddler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ofydd Doney. Nynnyaw Hanauer's late challenge caught a Llangollen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nynnyaw Hanauer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Montgomery Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nynnyaw Hanauer to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ofydd Doney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Montgomery Utd booed when Llangollen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Griffin Wheelwright didn't get a good kick on the ball.
