The tension between the Port Talbot and the Ely players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ely booed when Port Talbot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tremayne Cotter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tremayne Cotter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garnock Gilboy having to interfere. In the 13thth minute of the game Greid Hickey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ely's Garnock Gilboy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomos Chaston kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Tremayne Cotter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garnock Gilboy having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ely's Tomos Chaston got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Tremayne Cotter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garnock Gilboy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Llwydeu Colville struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Bedwyr Freeman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ely. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Olwydd Farley got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 31 minutes, Tomos Chaston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ely and the Port Talbot players grew even worse after the yellow card. Greid Hickey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Port Talbot's Greid Hickey in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ely's goalie prevented a goal. Olwydd Farley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedwyr Freeman having to interfere. Llwydeu Colville might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bedwyr Freeman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Llwydeu Colville ran back to his position shaking his head. Llwydeu Colville recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Llwydeu Colville to make the kick off. Tomos Chaston struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Bedwyr Freeman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ely. Greid Hickey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Garnock Gilboy made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olwydd Farley in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bedwyr Freeman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Port Talbot getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nerthach Barney hit a great ball. Tremayne Cotter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Garnock Gilboy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Llwydeu Colville sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Drystan Hynes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ely's supporters rose to their feet, but Drystan Hynes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bedwyr Freeman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amerawdwr Kane during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ely booed when Port Talbot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amerawdwr Kane didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Olwydd Farley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bedwyr Freeman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Llwydeu Colville sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute of the match, Tremayne Cotter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Garnock Gilboy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Tremayne Cotter came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Port Talbot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tremayne Cotter couldn't finish the play.
