Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Padrig Potter in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pellyn Lamont prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 minutes, Mil Fishbourne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UWA Penarth and the Puddlemere United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mil Fishbourne kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Rhodri Hanley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pellyn Lamont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes UWA Penarth got a freekick which was hit by Mil Fishbourne. Pellyn Lamont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Padrig Potter, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Puddlemere United's Padrig Grantham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. If Rhodri Hanley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Selyv Hayhurst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes UWA Penarth got a freekick which was hit by Gwallter Bligh. 53 minutes into the match, UWA Penarth's goalkeeper Pellyn Lamont had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Padrig Potter. In the 62nd minute, Padrig Grantham reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pellyn Lamont. The goal made the score 0-2. Jones Farran struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Pellyn Lamont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puddlemere United. Mil Fishbourne kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. UWA Penarth's Pellyn Lamont proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Penarth from getting a goal against them. Padrig Potter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Pellyn Lamont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pellyn Lamont was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Padrig Potter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. Padrig Potter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pellyn Lamont having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Padrig Potter got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Padrig Grantham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pellyn Lamont having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Puddlemere United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than UWA Penarth.
