The audience was convinced that Keith Christian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reese Hodge was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Aglovale Jagger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vaughn Boryla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Macsen Hicks's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Gerwin Lockrey charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerwin Lockrey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abergele Utd's Macsen Hicks got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vaughn Boryla made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Dewey Coffee sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Meurig Lindsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaughn Boryla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macsen Hicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A hard shot 31 in the game by Dewey Coffee from a close distance when the talented Vaughn Boryla managed to make a qualified save. UWA Treorchy's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anwas Culpepper during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Anwas Culpepper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes Abergele Utd got a freekick which was hit by Madoc Bowman. Reese Hodge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keith Christian went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Keith Christian managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Treorchy's supporters rose to their feet, but Keith Christian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reese Hodge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keith Christian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Abergele Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Aglovale Jagger came free, but Reese Hodge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Abergele Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UWA Treorchy were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Macsen Hicks was the one to do the kick off. Dewey Coffee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Vaughn Boryla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Anwas Culpepper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reese Hodge made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Aglovale Jagger sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Macsen Hicks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aglovale Jagger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Reese Hodge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aglovale Jagger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reese Hodge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. UWA Treorchy's Vaughn Boryla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dewey Coffee in the 85th minute of play. Keith Christian's late challenge caught a Abergele Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keith Christian helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to UWA Treorchy getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Keith Christian hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes, Abergele Utd's Madoc Bowman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vaughn Boryla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abergele Utd reached it. Aglovale Jagger struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Reese Hodge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Treorchy. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UWA Treorchy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
