The supporters of Cardiff booed when Newtown Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tudur Gorman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cardiff's Heulyn Chadwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clust Bowie in the 11th minute of play. Clust Bowie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cardiff's Heulyn Chadwick got control of the ball when Clud Harvey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Collen Huddleston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cynbal Chandler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heulyn Chadwick was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Clust Bowie capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clust Bowie really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Clud Harvey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Heulyn Chadwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tudur Gorman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Clust Bowie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newtown Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clust Bowie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Heulyn Chadwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clust Bowie in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kynan Freelove made a kick off. The long shot by Drudwas Dalton in the 52nd minute really tested Cynbal Chandler's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Clust Bowie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute Clust Bowie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heulyn Chadwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Collen Huddleston fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cynbal Chandler, passed just outside the right post. If Clust Bowie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Cardiff's goal looked a bit too open when Clust Bowie came free, but Heulyn Chadwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes, Tudur Gorman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newtown Utd and the Cardiff players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tudur Gorman hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Kynan Freelove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cynbal Chandler having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Kian Gilboy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Collen Huddleston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cynbal Chandler having to interfere. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cardiff's goalkeeper Heulyn Chadwick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Clust Bowie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Heulyn Chadwick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Newtown Utd's Clud Harvey got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kynan Freelove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kynan Freelove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cynbal Chandler having to interfere. A hard shot 91 in the game by Collen Huddleston from a close distance when the talented Cynbal Chandler managed to make a qualified save. Newtown Utd's players were relieved. In the 92nd match minute, Cardiff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greidyawl Creedan to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes Cardiff got a freekick which was hit by Lovel Boggs. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cardiff players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Newtown Utd.
