The tension between the Puddlemere United and the Ely players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Puddlemere United got a freekick which was hit by Jones Farran. Gethin Bonham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Llwydeu Colville in the 6th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Nynnyaw Canada put in a rough tackle. Nynnyaw Canada kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olwydd Farley in the 17th minute of play forced Puddlemere United's goalkeeper Gethin Bonham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Padrig Grantham during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Puddlemere United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Padrig Grantham to maneuver through the defense. If Olwydd Farley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Puddlemere United's Griffin Bannon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garnock Gilboy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jones Farran kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jones Farran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Padrig Grantham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gethin Bonham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olwydd Farley in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Rhodri Hanley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhodri Hanley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Garnock Gilboy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Puddlemere United's Griffin Bannon got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rhodri Hanley struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Garnock Gilboy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puddlemere United. Selyv Hayhurst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selyv Hayhurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garnock Gilboy having to interfere. Padrig Grantham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garnock Gilboy having to interfere. The supporters of Puddlemere United booed when Ely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomos Chaston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Selyv Hayhurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garnock Gilboy having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Puddlemere United's Padrig Potter got a free kick in the 89th minute. Gethin Bonham was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Barris Gilbert. Rhodri Hanley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Garnock Gilboy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Puddlemere United were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
