Dillan Keegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ofydd Doney succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Deiniol Garrity was a little too slow when Collen Huddleston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-1. The audience was convinced that Kynan Freelove's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Deiniol Garrity was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Ofydd Doney might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heulyn Chadwick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ofydd Doney ran back to his position shaking his head. Collen Huddleston struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Deiniol Garrity didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardiff. Cardiff's Drudwas Dalton shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Deiniol Garrity but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Digon Pattern in the 37th minute of play forced Llangollen's goalkeeper Deiniol Garrity to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Cardiff's Kynan Freelove ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Deiniol Garrity. Deiniol Garrity yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After having played for 58 minutes, Ofydd Doney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llangollen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ofydd Doney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Llangollen's Clyde Bartells seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Clyde Bartells the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Llangollen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Clyde Bartells had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Llangollen's Deiniol Garrity played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kynan Freelove in the 69th minute of play. Heulyn Chadwick came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Llangollen's Griffin Wheelwright. But to his dismay, Griffin Wheelwright quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 79th minute Collen Huddleston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deiniol Garrity saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Kynan Freelove got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Llangollen's Deiniol Garrity played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kynan Freelove in the 94th minute of play.
