Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) UWA Penarth's Sel Duff started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, UWA Penarth's Iustig Herbert got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute of the match Elphin Fabian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celyn Edelston skillfully saved the ball. Clust Ordinary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sion Griffith in the 7th minute. Sel Duff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clust Ordinary read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Celyn Edelston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gamon Hobbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Edmyg Lunshekaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celyn Edelston having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Perceval Foley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celyn Edelston was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 25 minutes, Sion Griffith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Penarth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sion Griffith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sel Duff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clust Ordinary having to interfere. Celyn Edelston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gamon Hobbs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celyn Edelston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gamon Hobbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Gamon Hobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sulyen Giggs came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the UWA Penarth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sulyen Giggs couldn't finish the play. Sion Griffith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Clust Ordinary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gamon Hobbs to strike the kick off in the second half. Iustig Herbert charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iustig Herbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clust Ordinary came out of the goal and Sion Griffith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UWA Penarth's Celyn Edelston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gamon Hobbs in the 77th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in UWA Penarth fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Elphin Fabian shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. UWA Penarth's Sion Griffith got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of UWA Penarth booed when Port Talbot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perceval Foley didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, UWA Penarth's goal looked a bit too open when Gamon Hobbs came free, but Celyn Edelston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
