Celyn Edelston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aneirin Crabtree in the 3rd minute of play. Sion Griffith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iustig Herbert kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Carmarthen FC's Mordwywr Dale broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 9 minutes into the match, UWA Penarth's goal looked a bit too open when Aneirin Crabtree came free, but Celyn Edelston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Carmarthen FC's zone, Sion Griffith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cedric Caudle came out of the goal and Sion Griffith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sel Duff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cedric Caudle came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by UWA Penarth's Sel Duff. But to his dismay, Sel Duff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Aneirin Crabtree struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Celyn Edelston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carmarthen FC. When Sion Griffith came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the UWA Penarth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sion Griffith couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Carmarthen FC booed when UWA Penarth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garselid Fox didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmarthen FC's Mordwywr Dale couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for UWA Penarth. 27 minutes into the game, Aneirin Crabtree recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celyn Edelston. Aneirin Crabtree showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. UWA Penarth's Celyn Edelston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Penarth from getting a goal against them. Aneirin Crabtree received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Celyn Edelston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Carmarthen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sion Griffith came free, but Cedric Caudle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Aglovale Hodson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celyn Edelston. UWA Penarth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aglovale Hodson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aneirin Crabtree made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, UWA Penarth's Sion Griffith made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cedric Caudle was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, UWA Penarth's goal looked a bit too open when Aglovale Hodson came free, but Celyn Edelston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sel Duff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cedric Caudle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Aglovale Hodson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmarthen FC and the UWA Penarth players grew even worse after the yellow card. When UWA Penarth's Sel Duff in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carmarthen FC's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Carmarthen FC's goalkeeper Cedric Caudle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sion Griffith. Carmarthen FC's Aglovale Hodson got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celyn Edelston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aneirin Crabtree in the 71st minute of play. Sion Griffith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedric Caudle having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Sel Duff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Aneirin Crabtree got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, UWA Penarth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustig Herbert to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bwlch Mason got free with Cedric Caudle in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Dywel Carson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carmarthen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UWA Penarth the free kick. Cedric Caudle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sion Griffith in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute Aglovale Hodson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celyn Edelston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sion Griffith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cedric Caudle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as UWA Penarth's Sel Duff slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cedric Caudle. That made the score 2-3 after 100 minutes of play. The UWA Penarth supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UWA Penarth would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
