The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, UWA Bale Tribute's Adwr Bonner got control of the ball when Bogart Foster tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Bale Tribute's goalkeeper Adwr Bonner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lionel Ingoldsby struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Caradawg Connery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Bale Tribute. In the 34th minute of the match Reese Harley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adwr Bonner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lionel Ingoldsby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogart Foster got free with Adwr Bonner in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adwr Bonner made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Bogart Foster sent off a good shot on target. Gwalchmei Hamm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adwr Bonner having to interfere. After the first half UWA Bale Tribute were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gwalchmei Hamm was the one to do the kick off. Adwr Bonner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwalchmei Hamm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to UWA Bale Tribute getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gorsedd Brine hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Bogart Foster's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adwr Bonner was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Adwr Bonner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwalchmei Hamm in the 95th minute of the match.
