After a defensive mix-up in Cardigan's zone, Aneirin Crabtree stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ardwyad Henn came out of the goal and Aneirin Crabtree tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wmffre Goff kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Mordwywr Dale, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carmarthen FC's Cedric Caudle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Carmarthen FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Romney Kerrigan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardigan's supporters rose to their feet, but Romney Kerrigan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cedric Caudle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Newlin Harland hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Ardwyad Henn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aneirin Crabtree in the 27th minute of play. If Renfrew Hick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ol Lavelle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Cedric Caudle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dywel Carson's late challenge caught a Cardigan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dywel Carson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Dywel Carson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Carmarthen FC defense, Ol Lavelle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cedric Caudle. The Carmarthen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cedric Caudle should have stopped the shot. Ardwyad Henn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aglovale Hodson in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aneirin Crabtree in the 48th minute of play forced Cardigan's goalkeeper Ardwyad Henn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aneirin Crabtree stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Renfrew Hick fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardigan's protests and gave Renfrew Hick a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carmarthen FC booed when Cardigan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renfrew Hick didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Aglovale Hodson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carmarthen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aglovale Hodson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ardwyad Henn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th match minute, Cardigan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renfrew Hick to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 59 in the game by Aneirin Crabtree from a close distance when the talented Ardwyad Henn managed to make a qualified save. Cardigan's players were relieved. When Renfrew Hick was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. Renfrew Hick kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Aneirin Crabtree recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ol Lavelle struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Cedric Caudle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardigan. Cedric Caudle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ol Lavelle went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute, Ol Lavelle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardigan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After having played for 94 minutes, Ol Lavelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardigan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ol Lavelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
