Gamon Hobbs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ol Bellew having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gamon Hobbs in the 22nd minute of play forced UWA Cardigan's goalkeeper Ol Bellew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Port Talbot's goalkeeper Clust Ordinary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Llwydeu Bellew. Llwydeu Bellew scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clust Ordinary, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amynedd Shrieve's late challenge caught a Port Talbot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amynedd Shrieve helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Amynedd Shrieve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of UWA Cardigan booed when Port Talbot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gamon Hobbs didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Gamon Hobbs notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of UWA Cardigan's Ol Bellew. Ol Bellew was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amerawdwr Case to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Cardigan's zone, Gamon Hobbs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ol Bellew came out of the goal and Gamon Hobbs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmyg Lunshekaun struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ol Bellew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Port Talbot. Ol Bellew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gamon Hobbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmyg Lunshekaun got free with Ol Bellew in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ol Bellew made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Edmyg Lunshekaun sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gamon Hobbs in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ol Bellew prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, UWA Cardigan's Ol Bellew got control of the ball when Edmyg Lunshekaun tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Cardigan's goalkeeper Ol Bellew, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yestin Lee hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Port Talbot's Clust Ordinary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Llwydeu Bellew in the 67th minute of play. Baddon Dancy's late challenge caught a Port Talbot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baddon Dancy helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Port Talbot's Gamon Hobbs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ol Bellew. That made the score 1-3 after 77 minutes of play. Amerawdwr Case fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clust Ordinary having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Amynedd Shrieve suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Perceval Foley's late challenge caught a UWA Cardigan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perceval Foley helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Port Talbot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perceval Foley to maneuver through the defense. If Gamon Hobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gamon Hobbs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ol Bellew having to interfere. Port Talbot's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
