Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sel Duff made the kick off which started today's match. Llwyd Hazel hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, UWA Penarth's Tarrant Wheelwright tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Caradawg Connery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sel Duff in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Neath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cadell Kidder to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th match minute, UWA Penarth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustig Herbert to maneuver through the defense. Celyn Edelston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwalchmei Hamm in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Bogart Foster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute Sel Duff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caradawg Connery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gwalchmei Hamm came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Neath fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwalchmei Hamm couldn't finish the play. Tarrant Wheelwright kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Gwalchmei Hamm lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Celyn Edelston. If Gwalchmei Hamm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Bogart Foster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwalchmei Hamm made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Pwyll Cordwainer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neath and the UWA Penarth players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of UWA Penarth booed when Neath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pwyll Cordwainer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sion Griffith struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Caradawg Connery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Penarth. Sion Griffith recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sion Griffith who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Caradawg Connery when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwalchmei Hamm in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celyn Edelston saved UWA Penarth from getting behind. In the 79th minute Sel Duff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caradawg Connery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes of play Neath's Pwyll Cordwainer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 81st match minute, Neath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pwyll Cordwainer to maneuver through the defense. Sel Duff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Caradawg Connery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bogart Foster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Celyn Edelston came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Neath's Bogart Foster. But to his dismay, Bogart Foster quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Neath's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
