An unexpectedly hard shot by Gamon Hobbs in the 4th minute of play forced Cardiff Utd's goalkeeper Modred Fabian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cardiff Utd's Caddoc Camden got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gwyddawg Felt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clust Ordinary having to interfere. Modred Fabian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gamon Hobbs in the 13th minute of the match. Modred Fabian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmyg Lunshekaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute of the match Port Talbot got a corner. Cardiff Utd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elphin Fabian ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 20th minute, Griflet Brine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardiff Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 26th minute, Gamon Hobbs made a precise shot to the right of Modred Fabian. Cardiff Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Griflet Brine charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Griflet Brine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Cardiff Utd got a freekick which was hit by Griflet Brine. 40 minutes into the match, Cardiff Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Edmyg Lunshekaun came free, but Modred Fabian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmyg Lunshekaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44thth minute of the game Gamon Hobbs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardiff Utd's Modred Fabian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a defensive mix-up in Port Talbot's zone, Gwyddawg Felt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clust Ordinary came out of the goal and Gwyddawg Felt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 minutes, Yestin Lee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Port Talbot and the Cardiff Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Port Talbot got a freekick which was hit by Yestin Lee. March Factor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gwyddawg Felt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waljan Cleghorn kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Edmyg Lunshekaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cardiff Utd's zone, Gamon Hobbs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modred Fabian came out of the goal and Gamon Hobbs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clust Ordinary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwyddawg Felt in the 81st minute of play. When Gwyddawg Felt came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cardiff Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwyddawg Felt couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute March Factor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clust Ordinary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Port Talbot booed when Cardiff Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Griflet Brine didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gamon Hobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Port Talbot eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
