Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brys Lodder kicked off to start the match. Sayer Loane took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berth Keene. Berth Keene dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Newtown's goal looked a bit too open when Sayer Loane came free, but Berth Keene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ol Farthing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barris Gillam kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Arianwyn Flaherty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Berth Keene. Newtown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Newtown's goal looked a bit too open when Tringad Durling came free, but Berth Keene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Brys Lodder reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maelwys Burgonmaster. The goal made the score 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Newtown's Brys Lodder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maelwys Burgonmaster. That made the score 2-1 after 35 minutes of play. Ol Farthing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maelwys Burgonmaster having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Brys Lodder took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Maelwys Burgonmaster to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sayer Loane to strike the kick off in the second half. Berth Keene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sayer Loane in the 52nd minute of play. Owein Logan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Berth Keene. Newtown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tringad Durling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Berth Keene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tringad Durling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Myrddin Lindsey kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of UWA Newtown booed when Newtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barris Gillam didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newtown's goalkeeper Berth Keene, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Newtown booed when UWA Newtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arawn Lamb didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Brys Lodder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maelwys Burgonmaster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berth Keene made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tringad Durling in the 80th minute. Brys Lodder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berth Keene didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. Newtown's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
