Caradawg Ackroyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sayer Loane in the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Mael Burt managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Aberystwyth's supporters rose to their feet, but Mael Burt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sayer Loane to strike the kick off in the second half. Gormant Hunt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, UWA Aberystwyth's Merlin Douglas got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Sayer Loane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes, Merlin Douglas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UWA Aberystwyth and the UWA Newtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. Merlin Douglas hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Caradawg Ackroyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sayer Loane, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Tringad Durlings short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Caradawg Ackroyd to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. UWA Newtown's Maelwys Burgonmaster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mael Burt in the 88th minute of play. If Tringad Durling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Aberystwyth's zone, Tringad Durling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caradawg Ackroyd came out of the goal and Tringad Durling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Aglovale Travers fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Aberystwyth's protests and gave Aglovale Travers a yellow card for diving instead. Aglovale Travers kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. UWA Newtown were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after UWA Aberystwyth's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arianwyn Flaherty took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Arianwyn Flaherty got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Caradawg Ackroyd quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by UWA Aberystwyth's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arianwyn Flaherty was slow to take the kick. During this time UWA Newtown's players had a chance to rest.
