In the 24thth minute of the game Drudwas Harden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rhyl FC's Dewey Dale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 played minutes Rhyl FC got a freekick which was hit by Caledvwich Crittle. After a defensive mix-up in Maesteg FC's zone, Gwyglet Neatherder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melkin Keelan came out of the goal and Gwyglet Neatherder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rhyl FC's Caledvwich Crittle in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 68 minutes, Lionel Conant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rhyl FC and the Maesteg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
