The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ely Utd booed when Bangor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brys Bragg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baudwin Francom got free with Sayer Jennings in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 40 minutes of play, Ely Utd's Baudwin Francom made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sayer Jennings was left in no man's land by his defense there! Calder Croft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedr Carver made a kick off. Calder Croft recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute Teryrnon Donovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sayer Jennings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Fishbourne made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Dywel Callaghan sent off a good shot on target.
